A Golf Paradise Comes to Life
At Cabot Citrus Farms, golf enthusiasts will find courses reimagined by golf architects Mike Nuzzo and Kyle Franz, each bringing their unique vision to the green. From challenging layouts that respect the natural terrain to courses that offer a variety of play styles, golfers at all levels will find something to love.
Karoo
Designed by Kyle Franz, this 18-hole course, Karoo, brings together the rough beauty of nature with the challenge of the game. Wide fairways, various paths to the hole, and striking shapes of greens mark this layout, offering a different challenge with each game. Players can expect diverse tee positions for a renewed perspective on every visit. Skill in playing over short grass near the greens is rewarded here.
The Roost
This 18-hole golf course stretches through sandy areas near Karoo, across fields dotted with dogwoods and wildflowers, and around a big sinkhole. This course, extending 7,200 yards, is full of striking old oaks covered in moss. Wild turkeys can be seen using these trees as resting spots. Unlike many places in Florida, this course has hills that go up and down by 50 feet. Its design takes cues from the famous golf architect Alister MacKenzie and his notable courses in Augusta, the Australian Sandbelt, and California. Roost offers a diverse and high-quality golfing experience suitable for all who play, no matter their level.
The Squeeze
The Squeeze is a 9-hole golf course with distances from 100 to 550 yards. Mike Nuzzo, the designer, took ideas from some of the top short par 4 courses worldwide to make this course both enjoyable and challenging. The design of the second green mimics the corrugated tin roofs found in mini-golf, while the third hole features a large sand area. The fifth hole has a curvy path leading to a green that slopes in different directions. With its mix of landscapes, each hole at The Squeeze requires players to think of new ways to play.
The Wedge
This 11-hole par-3 course features large sand traps, greens with significant slopes, and a variety of challenging positions. The Wedge showcases some of Cabot Citrus Farms’s most unique aspects, and thanks to lighting along the course, players can enjoy the game even after the sun goes down.
